Training off Africa

U.S. and French Navy trainers and Cameroonian students on Zodaic crafts make their approach to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) while learning visit, board, search and seizure techniques as part of Africa Partnership Station (APS). APS is a multi-national effort to bring the latest training and techniques to maritime professionals in nine West and Central African countries, to address common threats of illegal fishing, smuggling, and human trafficking.
