USCG to Conduct Spill Training at Port Manatee

The U.S. Coast Guard issued a statement that local Coast Guard units will conduct an exercise simulating a response to an oil spill using the Vessel of Opportunity Skimming System (VOSS) at Port Manatee, Fla. on September 10, 2003. VOSS is a portable oil skimming and storage system that attaches to a wide variety of Coast Guard and commercial vessels. Source: HK Law
