Since day one of its 2012 formation, Tentec Training has provided training and competence assurance programs in the assembly and tightening of bolted connections. Along with providing hands-on practical and theory training in the U.K., which lead to an Engineering Construction Industry Training Board qualification, the company services qualified and experienced trainers that travel around the world offering in-depth training for safe and efficient use of its comprehensive range of equipment.

Recently, Training Manager Glenn Dixon travelled to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to train personnel from Tentec distributor Euro Mechanical. The company’s equipment is used in a range of industries including: petrochemical, offshore and the wind energy markets. Therefore, the integrity of the joints and flanges is vital for safety and functional purposes. Tentec advises that only trained personnel operate the tools. Accordinly, Euro Mechanical operatives participated in a training course comprised of theory and practical sessions.

“It is extremely important that all operatives are trained in both the theory and practice of bolt integrity.” explained Dixon. “We provided training over seven days in groups of four, so everyone could have my individual attention and benefit from my extensive experience in the field, especially offshore.”
