TTS Wins Translifter Contract

Finland’s TTS Liftec Oy, Tampere, part of the Port and Material Handling Division of Norway’s TTS Marine ASA, Bergen, has won a contract to supply two ports in northern Europe with Translifters for new Transfennica services from Finland. Transfennica, one of Finland’s largest shipowners, uses cassettes as part of the loading/unloading operation for cargoes throughout Europe. As from January 1, Transfennica is starting new services between various ports in Finland, the largest being Hanko, Hamina and Rauma, to Rostock (Germany) and Gdynia (Poland). In both ports, the cargo handling companies – Poland’s Idal Group in Gdynia and Germany’s MSB in Rostock, have ordered two Translifters each from TTS Liftec. TTS Liftec has already supplied Translifters to virtually every port in Finland, Gothenburg (30), Lubeck (25 units), Baldinski (2), DFDS Immingham (11), DFDS Rotterdam (2) Zeebrugge (12 units for handling of SECU handling) Westerlund (3), and Tilbury (10 units, eight of which are for SECU handling).
