“With the acquisition we expand and broaden our presence in North America and obtain access not only to enlarged local production capabilities and offerings but also to solid engineering and testing expertise,” said Fredrik Meuller, President of the Trelleborg Offshore & Construction business area.
“The fender market outlook in the North American region brings strong growth opportunities, especially as increasing vessel sizes necessitate port facility upgrades,” Meuller said.
Maritime International’s head office and main manufacturing facility are in Broussard, La. Its sales, which amount to approximately SEK 200 million annually, are mainly in North America.
