UK-based Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm is consulting on the draft Decommissioning Programme for its 860MW offshore wind farm.

"Triton Knoll’s draft Decommissioning Programme is underway, with all comments to be received no later than 25 January 2019. Once complete, the final programme will be submitted to the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)," said a statement from the company.

The draft Decommissioning Programme outlines TKOWFL’s plans for the removal of the offshore infrastructure associated with the wind farm array and export cable route after the Project has reached the end of its lifecycle.

The document has been produced in line with the requirements of the Development Consent Orders for the Project and following BEIS’ guidance (Decommissioning of offshore renewable energy installations under the Energy Act 2004 – Guidance notes for industry January 2011), it said.
