L-3 Unidyne Awarded $39.4m Navy Funds

 L-3 Services, Inc., Unidyne Division, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $39,488,032 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide submarine mechanical/electronic system engineering, analytical, logistics and technical support services for Command, Norfolk Ship Support Activity.  This contract contains one option, which, if exercised, will bring the contract value to $79,763,280.  Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (60 percent); Portsmouth, N.H. (5 percent); Kings Bay, Ga. (5 percent); Groton, Conn. (10 percent); Bremerton, Wash. (5 percent); San Diego, Calif. (5 percent); Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (5 percent); and Guam (5 percent).  Work is expected to be completed by April 15, 2013.  With the exercised option, the completion date will be April 15, 2014.  Applicable minimum guarantee Operations, Maintenance and Navy funds in the amount of $40,000 will be obligated at the time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was a full and open competitive procurement via Navy Electronic Commerce On-line and Federal Business Opportunities websites, with three offers received.  The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N00189-12-D-0014).
