United Heavy Lift's Maiden Call to India

United Heavy Lift GmBH& Co. KG, Germany commenced operations on 1st April, this year.

Lars Rolner, the former owner and Managing Director of SAL established United Heavy Lift this February in Hamburg. They are agents to a fleet of currently 18 HLVs with a lifting capacity ranging from 300 to 800 mts. The vessels are trading on a worldwide basis, with a main focus on Europe, Middle-East, Far-East as well as Africa & USA.

Heavy Lift carrier Mv Lena J called Mumbai and Kandla ports to discharge & load project cargoes respectively. She loaded 2 Liquid Nitrogen Storage Vessels manufactured by INOX India admeasuring 34.00 X 5.20 X 5.30 meters and weighing 196 metric tons each. Both Mumbai & Kandla calls were very well handled with the excellent co-operation of crew and also Kandla & Mumbai Port authorities.

United Heavy Lift has appointed Lexicon Overseas Pvt Ltd., as their general agents in India. The company is promoted by Mr Ashok Vaid, who is experienced in Project and heavy lift shipping over a period of 25 years. The combination of United Heavy Lift fleet and the long standing experience of Mr Ashok Vaid offers a reliable solution for the market in India.
