Vietnam to Launch Cargo Vessel

According to reports, Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) will launch a 53,000 ton-capacity vessel, in northern coastal Quang Ninh province on April 6.
The ship, named Florence, is the first of the 21 cargo vessels that the Vinashin's Ha Long Shipyard contracted with a British partner at a total cost of over $400m.
Florence is 623 ft., 106 ft. wide and has a 64,000cu.m hold, as designed by Denmark-based Carl Bro Marine company.
The Ha Long Shipyard had invested thousands of billions of Vietnamese dongs to improve its capacity, including $14.5m in facilities for the contract.
