U.K.'s WaterMota Sold to Dutch Firm

WaterMota, the UK-based engine, generator and gearbox specialist, has been acquired by the B&N Group in the Netherlands for an undisclosed sum

The B&N Group consists of Brinkmann & Niemeijer Motoren BV, De Maas BV, Sound Proof Systems BV and B&N Foreign Activities BV.

The company specialises in diesel engines, power plants, pump sets, power packs and sound absorbing cases, supplying to the industrial market as well as the shipping and leisure boat market.

“The acquisition gives WaterMota the strength of a larger group which is extremely highly regarded and gives us a comprehensive presence in the industrial market which is one of our growth areas,” says WaterMota MD Mike Beacham.

WaterMota is one of the UK’s leading marine and industrial distribution companies and an exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Craftsman Marine, Doosan Infracore, D-I Industries, Hyundai SeasAll, JMP and Whisper Power.

The company also has a sales and service agreement with AZCUE for England and Wales.

Staff numbers at WaterMota are expected to increase following the acquisition, says the company.
