Wilhelmsen Large Project Loading at Huangpu

The logistics department of Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Shanghai recently completed a large project loading an air-filter system for shipment to India. Wilhelmsen Ships Service was tasked with loading 39 packages, weighing a total of 303 tons (2400 cubic metres), valued at about $2m. The company’s responsibility included vessel chartering, export customs clearance, picking up the cargo and trucking into the terminal, storage, haulage and handling.
 
The air filter system was loaded at Guangzhou on board M/V Balboa/1004, and will be discharged at Mumbai, India. It was manufactured in China by Guangzhou Delsun Steel Structure Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Huayu Steel structure Co., Ltd, and will be consigned to a large heavy electrical engineering company in India.

The project was rewarding challenge for the Wilhelmsen Ships project team at the Shanghai office, enabling the company to demonstrate its coordination and planning skills with a complex and valuable cargo.
