New Design for Workover and Subsea Support Vessel

Elliott Bay Design Group has introduced a new design for a workover and subsea support vessel, called Deepworker 2000. Maximizing working space and safety features, the new column-stabilized and dynamically positioned design is intended for worldwide use in distant, deepwater situations with conditions up to sea state 7.
Deepworker 2000 is 260 ft. long, with a molded beam of 104 ft., which allows it to transit the Panama Canal. The vessel has a molded normal operating draft of 25 ft., and is designed to meet ABS DP3 and DNV NMD Class 3 Guidelines, with required failure mode redundancies. Principal characteristics include a displacement of approximately 7,170 lt at normal operating draft, a service speed of 12 knots, 21,000 sq. ft. of clear deck workspace and accommodations for 101.
