USCG Hosts Workshop on Maritime Security

The two-day workshop on maritime security, hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard in Washington, was completed with members of diverse sectors of the maritime industry offering a variety of suggestions for improvements and areas of concern related to maritime security. A listing of the recommendations is scheduled to be released by the Coast Guard on February 4, with the final report scheduled for February 28. Written comments may be submitted to the docket through March 15. Meanwhile, maritime security will be the major focus of the National Harbor Safety Committee meeting in
Galveston on March 4.
