Heavy lift: Jumbo recently wrapped up a project installing massive structures at the Arkona offshore wind farm
Earlier this year, Jumbo and its DP2 heavy lift crane vessel MV Fairplayer completed its part of a project to build the Arkona offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
Van Oord contracted Jumbo to install 60 transition pieces for the 385 (MW) offshore wind farm, located 35 kilometers northeast of the German island Rügen.
The Arkona wind farm, a joint venture between E.ON and Statoil, wind farm will be able to supply up to 400,000 households with renewable energy from 2019.
