Haig-Brown, Alan

Alan Haig-Brown began his career as a commercial fisherman on the B.C. coast and later worked on coastal freighters. He has published five books, most dealing with commercial fishing history and issues. Following a stint working in public education, he has, since 1986, devoted himself full time to writing about commercial marine subjects worldwide. He maintains bases in New Westminster, Canada and Bangkok, Thailand.
