Authorities?said? on Thursday that Iranian sailors who survived the U.S. sub strike in the Indian Ocean are recovering in a hospital located in the port city of Galle in?Sri Lanka. At least 87 people were killed during the attack. The National Hospital in Galle, as well as navy sources, said that 87 bodies had been brought into the hospital by military rescuers in response to the early morning distress call of the IRIS Dena.

Authorities said that search and rescue operations for 60 passengers who are still unaccounted for will continue Thursday.

Authorities said that the 32 sailors who were rescued are being treated for minor injuries and may be discharged from hospital by Thursday. Two policemen guarded the entrance to Ward No. As nurses walked around and doctors did their morning rounds, two policemen guarded the entrance to ward 58. The attack dramatically expanded the scope of war hundreds of miles away from the Gulf where U.S., Israeli and Iranian forces were attacking Iran, and Tehran was retaliating by using missiles and drones.

Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of Defense, said that an 'American submarine' sank a warship from Iran which thought it was safe in international waters. It was instead sunk by a torpedo. Quiet death."

The Pentagon video, which purported to capture the attack, showed a warship that was hit by an enormous?explosion. This blew the rear of the vessel apart, lifted it from the water and caused it to sink from the stern.
