Bulls sink and Pacers find a rare road victory

Posted to Maritime Reporter on March 31, 2026

The Indiana Pacers, who ended an 11-game losing streak at home on Sunday night, will be looking to win consecutive road games only?the second of this season when they travel to Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.

The Pacers (17-58) have also been eliminated from the Eastern Conference playoffs, as has the Bulls (29-46)

Indiana had lost 18 of their previous 19 games before a stellar performance from Pascal Siakam -?30?points with 11 rebounds and six assists - helped them win 135 118 against Miami Heat on Sunday.

Rick Carlisle, Pacers' coach, said: "Pascal was outstanding last night."

Siakam, for his part, wants to ensure that Indiana has an productive stretch run as it awaits Tyrese, the star player, to return. Haliburton has been out since he suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

"We're gonna learn a lot," Siakam said. "I hope we can learn from this season." "For the past couple of years, we have done a lot to win."

After a 0-4 roadtrip that included three losses of at least 15 point, the Bulls will be playing two of their three next games at home.

The Spurs won 129-114 in San Antonio on Monday. Tre Jones had 23 points, Leonard Miller scored 21 for a new career high and Collin Sexton scored 20.

The team also faced adversity on Monday, as they waived Jaden Ivey due to conduct detrimental to the team. This included a series of controversial social media postings. Ivey, a former lottery pick for the Detroit Pistons who had been injured all season, was waived by the team.

Josh Giddey, Bulls' guard, said: "The whole situation is unfortunate in some way." "I hope that he receives the help he requires, no matter what he is going through. I hope he gets help. "I hope he receives help, even if it's not with the Bulls."

Indiana has won seven of the last 10 games between Central Division rivals. The team is aiming to sweep the four-game season series.

The Bulls are hoping to avoid losing four games in a row to the Pacers, for the first since a 10-game slump that spanned the seasons 2017-2018 and 2020-21.

Siakam led Indiana's scoring in its three previous victories over Chicago. He averaged 26.7 points, with a 47.6% accuracy rate and 43.8% accuracy at long range.

Chicago has traded Coby White, who led its offense during the last two Indiana meetings. Nikola Vucevic is also included. Giddey remains, however. He scored 17 points to keep the team afloat in a 103 - 101?loss against Indiana on November 29.

Giddey's career has seen him average 15.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 12 games. Matas buzelis has averaged 15.7 points and 10 rebounds against Indiana this season.

Jay Huff, the Pacers' center, blocked two shots on Sunday to record his sixth multiple-block game in March. His 138 blocked shots are second most in the NBA.
