Cargill Agri Purina, a South Korean company, has bought 68,000 tonnes of corn at a tender from traders.

Cargill Agri Purina, a South Korean company, purchased 68,000 metric tonnes of animal feed corn in an international tender that sought up to 140,000 metric tons on Thursday.

The estimated cost and freight was $272.72 per ton, plus $1.50 for each additional port unloading.

The tender only sought corn from South America and South Africa. No purchase report was made of a second 70,000-ton consignment that was also requested in the tender.

Cargill Trading Group was thought to have sold?corn in South Korea for arrival around July 20. If the?corn is sourced from South Africa only 50,000 tonne?need to be supplied.

The reports reflect the assessments of traders. Further estimates?of volumes and prices?are still possible. This week, the tender saw a heavy demand for?Korean?corn after prices fell following the Iran ceasefire. Michael Hogan, reporting from Hamburg and editing by
