China's payment firms rush to yuan denominated Hormuz Toll Report

The shares of some Chinese companies that deal with cross-border payments increased?on Friday after the?commerce ministry announced?that ships were using the Chinese Yuan to pay for tolls as they passed through the Strait of Hormuz.

* CNPC Capital Co. ended 7.9% higher Friday. Beijing Cuiwei Tower ?Co. The?closed jumped 10%.

*?Lakala Payment Co., and Shenzhen Forms Syntron Information grew by as much as 8 and 9 percent respectively.

A post by the Ministry of Commerce published on Thursday cited Lloyd's List which stated that fees for passage across the Strait of Hormuz were settled through an intermediary following customs clearance. The fee was set at $2,000,000 and can be paid in Chinese Yuan.
