Shipping data revealed that an oil tanker was heading to South Korea's HD Hyundai Oilbank, after passing the Strait of Hormuz.

Kpler data showed that the Malta-flagged Odessa sailed through the strait in April 2013, but it did not specify where the tanker loaded its oil.

LSEG data revealed that the Suezmax tanker - which can carry up to 1 million barrels of oil - had its AIS tracker turned off. It reappeared near Fujairah Port in the United Arab Emirates on April 17.

The?spokesperson for Hyundai Oilbank confirmed that the tanker was heading to the refinery, but refused to comment on the cargo. When asked if the vessel had crossed a strait, he referred to shipping records.

Dynacom, the ship’s Greece-based manager could not be reached outside of office hours. Reporting by Joyce Lee and Florence Tan, Singapore; editing by Muralikumar Aantharaman
