Delfin offshore Louisiana LNG final investment decision will be made as soon as the pipeline is approved

Eduard Ruijs is the head of investment for Vitol. The company investing in this project, says that the final investment decision will be made in the Delfin LNG project, offshore Louisiana, in a few weeks or months.

Ruijs said that the '13.2 million metric tonnes project would have received financial approval earlier if the pipeline to take gas to floating LNG plants had not exploded.

The 'pipeline', which ruptured in?February?3, was repaired and is now awaiting a?regulatory approving?to restart flow. Ruijs stated that a decision will be made once the repairs are complete. Reporting by Curtis Williams, Houston; editing by Chris Reese
