Dubai Media Office reported that DP World, the port giant in Dubai, announced Friday the 'appointment' of Essa?Kazim?as a?chairman?of its board?and Yuvraj narayan?as group chief executive?officer?. This was after mounting pressure had been placed on chief sultan bin Sulayem over alleged ties with Jeffrey epstein.
Members of Congress in the U.S. said that DP 'World's longtime chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem appeared?in files. This prompted renewed scrutiny of his previous?interactions?with Epstein, a convicted sex criminal.

Sulayem is one of Dubai's leading businessmen. He has been in charge of DP World for over 40 years. Through a?expansion, DP World has grown into one of the largest logistics companies. It?says that it handles 10% % of global trade.
The UK's development finance agency British?International investment and Canada's largest?pension funds have both suspended?new investments with DP World due to the Epstein allegations.
