GFSA reports that Saudi Arabia has bought 300,000 metric tonnes of wheat through a tender.
Saudi Arabia's General Food Security Authority, which is the main government wheat purchasing agency, announced on Monday that it had purchased 300,000 metric tonnes of wheat through a tender.
The agency stated that the purchase was for hard wheat with a 12.5% protein content, due to arrive in Saudi Arabia between February and April 2026.
The GFSA Governor Ahmad Al-Fares stated that the origins available were Europe, the Black Sea Region, North America, South America, and Australia. Sellers could choose the origin they wanted, he said.
The GFSA stated that the following purchases have been made in dollars per ton, including cost and freight.
Cargill - 60,000 tonnes at $258.21 C&F (1-15 March).
Solaris - 60,000 tonnes at $259,74 C&F (1-15 March).
Yanbu port
Cargill - 60,000 Tons at $257.96 C&F (1-15 March)
- 60,000 tonnes from Cofco for $259.49 C&F (1 March - 15).
Cargill - 60,000 Tons at $258.88 C&F (1st - 15th April)

On October 6, Saudi Arabia purchased 455,000 tons wheat.
