Indian Potash Ltd. receives increased urea offer as Iran conflict tightens up supply

Two company sources said that Indian Potash 'Ltd. received offers to supply 5.6 million metric -tons of urea in its latest tender, at prices significantly higher than the previous one. This is after supplies had been disrupted due to 'the U.S. - Israeli war against Iran.

Sources said that the lowest bid to'supply urea to the west coast' was $935 per tonne based on cost and freight, while the lowest bid for the east coast came in at $959 per tonne. IPL released the tender this month to secure 2.5 million tons urea. Shipments were required to leave loading ports by June 14.

Sources said that the bids for the previous urea?tender issued by India's Rashtriya?Chemicals and Fertilizers?were $508 per tonne for?west coast delivery and $512 for?eastcoast delivery. (Reporting by Rajendra Jadhav; Editing by Kirsten Donovan)
