European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 23 July.

Traders had expected an announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday.

The new tender will be able to ship consignments between 50,000 and 60,000 tons in any combination of the following dates: September 16-30, 1-15 October, 16-31 October, 1-15 November.

Jordan also released a separate tender for the purchase of up to 120,00 tons of wheat, which will close on 22 July. (Reporting and editing by Susan Fenton, Michael Hogan)
