European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline for submitting price offers is September 3.

The traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan's previous tender of 120,000 tons barley for which it purchased 60,000 tonnes on Wednesday.

The new tender seeks to ship consignments between 50,000 and 60,000 tons in various combinations, from October 1-15, 16-31, 1-15 November, 16-30. The same shipping periods were sought in the tender of Wednesday.

Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons milling wheat, which closes on September 2. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Michael Hogan)
