Jordanian traders report that the country has issued a tender for up to 120,000 tons of wheat.
European traders reported on Wednesday that Jordan's state grain buyer has issued an international tender to purchase?up? to?120,000 metric tonnes of milling wheat, which can come from any origin.
The deadline for submitting 'price offers' in the tender will be December 23.
After Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday, traders expected a new announcement.
The new tender seeks to ship 60,000 tons of cargo in 2026 in various combinations between March 1-15 (or 16-31), April 1-15 (or 16-30), and April 16-30.
The same shipping periods were sought in the tender on Tuesday.
Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley. This tender closes this Wednesday. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens in Hamburg)
