LSEG data shows that a ship loaded wheat for Egypt is at the French port of Dunkirk.
LSEG data show that a vessel will arrive in the French port of Dunkirk, north of France, on Sunday, to load approximately 60,000 metric tonnes of wheat for Egypt. This confirms a part of a previous purchase by Egypt's grain buyer.
Last month, Egyptian state buyer Mostakbal Misr (also known as Future of Egypt) announced that it had purchased 200,000 tons of French grain. This would be the second time this year that Egypt has bought French supplies, after booking a similar amount in April.
The wheat purchased last month, according to traders, was originally due to be delivered in September. However delays in previous French shipments caused uncertainty on the market.
The latest French imports were shipped on three Panamax ships with a minimum of 60,000 tons per vessel.
