Malaysia announces that the search for missing flight MH370 will resume in this month.
Malaysia's Transport Ministry announced on Wednesday that the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 would resume on December 30. This comes more than a year after the flight, bound for Beijing, disappeared in what is considered one of aviation's biggest mysteries.
When Flight MH370 vanished in 2014, it was a Boeing 777 carrying 227 passengers, 12 crew members, and was en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur. Due to bad weather, the most recent search of the southern Indian Ocean was suspended in April.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Malaysian transport ministry confirmed that Ocean Infinity will resume seabed searches for 55 days. The operations will be conducted in intervals.
