NTV reports that a drone hit a Turkish crude oil tanker near the Bosphorus Strait.

NTV reported that a Turkish crude oil tanker named the "Altura" was struck by a drone about '15 nautical miles (28 km) from Istanbul in the Bosphorus Strait. Its 27 crew members were unharmed.

According to data from ship tracking, the vessel flying the flag of Sierra Leone had left a port in?Russia called Novorossiysk carrying about?1,000,000 barrels of crude?oil. The European Union and Britain sanctioned it.

NTV reported that there was a blast on the bridge when the Besiktas-owned ship was hit in the Black Sea, and that the engine room was flooded.

The report said that the vessel requested assistance, and then a?turkish coast guard vessel was dispatched, as well as an emergency response ship. The report added that there were no injuries. Tuvan Gumrukcu, Darin Butler, and Christian Schmollinger edited the report.
