Red Crescent: Libya rescues 404 migrants from 10 boats
The Tobruk Red Crescent reported that the eastern coast guard of Libya's?Libyan National Army?rescued 404 migrants on 10 boats after they had "experienced harsh conditions" at sea.
Tobruk, a coastal town in eastern Libya near the border with Egypt is called Tobruk.
The Red Crescent in the city claimed that the migrants?are of different nationalities.
The Red Crescent posted pictures on Facebook of their volunteers giving first aid, food and blankets to migrants.
Libya is a transit point for migrants. Many of them are from sub-Saharan Africa. They risk their lives in order to escape?conflicts and poverty by crossing the desert and sea.
According to three Libyan and the International Organization for Migration sources, 10 migrants were confirmed dead on Monday after their boat capsized near Tobruk. Thirty-one were still missing.
