South Korean milling groups buys around 50,000 tons of wheat from the US traders claim

European traders reported that a group of 'South Korean flour mills' bought 'an estimated 50,000 metric tons of milling wheat from the United States at an international auction on Wednesday.

The purchase included?several wheat types? and all were purchased on a FOB basis. The tender requested shipment between August 1, and August 31, they said.

Traders reported that the purchase was made of soft white wheat with a protein content between 9.5% and 11%, purchased at a price of $230 per ton FOB.

The traders also said that dark northern spring and hard red winter wheats with a minimum of 14% protein were available in the lower $260s per ton FOB.
