South Korea's NOFI offers to purchase up to 207,000 metric tonnes corn

European traders reported on Tuesday that the leading South Korean feedmaker Nonghyup Feed Inc., (NOFI), has issued an international bid to purchase up to?to 207,00 metric tons animal feed corn.

The deadline to submit?price?offers in the tender also falls on Tuesday, February 3.

Three consignments ranging from 45,000 tons to 69,000 tonnes of corn are expected in South Korea in June.

NOFI - unit NH Feed is looking for corn from the United States or South America, but the seller can choose the origin.

Around June 1, the first corn consignment is expected to arrive in South Korea.

The shipment must be made between April 24 and May 13, from the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast between April 4 and April 23, from South America from March 29 to April 17, or from South Africa from April 14 to May 3.

Second consignment expected to arrive in South Korea by June 10

From the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast, shipment must be made between May 3 and 22. From the U.S. Gulf of Mexico between April 13 and May 2, from South America from April 7 to April 26 or from South Africa from April 23 to May 12.

Around June 20, the third corn shipment is expected to arrive in South Korea.

The U.S. Gulf is open between April 23 and May 12, South America from April 17 to May 6, or South Africa from May 3 to May 22.

The traders reported that they were seeking both outright corn prices per ton and c&f as well as a premium on the Chicago July 2026 contract. (Reporting and editing by Kirby Donovan in Hamburg)
