South Korea's NOFI purchased about 60,000 tonnes of feed wheat in a private deal

European traders reported on Thursday that the leading South Korean animal feed group, 'Nonghyup Feed Inc.' (NOFI), purchased around 60,000 metric tonnes of?animal?feed wheat as part of a private transaction late on Wednesday night without holding an international tender.

The price was estimated to be $272.90 per ton, including cost and freight (c&f), plus $1.55 for each additional ton of port unloading.

The seller was identified as a trading house called 'Agrocorp. The?wheat, which was purchased by NOFI's NH Feed unit and due to arrive in South Korea on or around July 10, was due for delivery.

If the shipment comes from the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast, it is between June 1 and June 20.

After the Iran ceasefire, Korean grain importers continued to purchase grains at a rapid pace on Wednesday.
