State media report that Iran has arrested dozens of people, including a foreign national with ties to the US and Israel.

The Intelligence Ministry announced on Tuesday that Iran has arrested dozens of people, including a foreign national. They were arrested for allegedly spying for the country's "enemies". ?and Israel.

On February 28, the U.S., Israel and other countries launched airstrikes on Iran. The strikes killed Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran's Supreme leader and several commanders.

Iran has retaliated against Gulf states that are U.S. ally and host American military bases during the current conflict.

According to state media, Iran's Intelligence Ministry did not identify the nationality of the person arrested, but said that the foreign national was "conducting espionage for the United States and Israel, and acting as an agent for two Gulf countries."

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has arrested dozens in the last few years of dual citizens and foreigners on charges relating to espionage or security.

Rights groups accuse the Islamic Republic of attempting to 'win concessions' from other countries by arresting people on security charges which may have been fabricated. Tehran denies that it arrests people for political purposes.

The ministry also said that "30 spies, internal agents, and operational agents from Israel and the U.S." were?arrested in the last few days.

Ahmadreza Radan, the chief of Iran's Police, told state television that 81 people had been arrested so far for "sharing internal Iranian data with hostile media and enemies". He didn't give any further details.
