Taiwan's MFIG purchases about 65,000 tonnes corn from US traders, say
European traders reported that Taiwan's MFIG buying group?bought 65,000 metric tonnes of?animal?feed corn expected to be sourced _from the United States?in an international tender held on Wednesday.
The yellow corn purchased was at a premium estimated to be 199.95?U.S. They said that cents per bushel of cost and freight were included in the contract for Chicago corn until September 2026.
It was thought that the?seller' would be Dreyfus Trading House.
The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and future estimates on 'prices and volume' are still possible. The traders reported that the tender only included U.S. corn. MFIG requested price offers for Brazilian corn, Argentine corn and South African Corn but none was reported. In the?tender, 11 trading companies?offered each 65,000 tons U.S. Corn. The?corn must be sourced in the United States. Traders said that the corn could be sourced from Brazil, Argentina or the Gulf.
