Tank maker KNDS suspends IPO plans

The franco-german defence group KNDS announced on Wednesday that it has halted its plans to list until the markets are more favorable.

Last month, the maker of Leopard 2 tanks and Caesar howitzers announced that it would list its shares in Frankfurt and Paris. It was slated as?one of Europe's largest defence IPOs over the past few years.

Sources have told us that the IPO is likely to value the company at about EUR15 billion ($17.07billion).

In a statement, it stated that "KNDS will continue to closely monitor capital markets conditions and stand ready to resume IPO processes as soon as'market conditions permit.

The Czech 'arms group CSG, valued at EUR25 bn, completed its biggest ever defence IPO last January. German warship maker TKMS, meanwhile, achieved a EUR5.15 bn valuation in its stock -market debut on?October 20, 2025. ($1 = 0.8789 euro) (Reporting and editing by Chris Reese, Vijay Kishore).
