The fire at Tengiz Oilfield Power Station in Kazakhstan was extinguished on Sunday, according to the company.
KazMunayGas, Kazakhstan's oil company owned by the state, said that a fire at a power station in the Chevron-led Tengiz field was put out on Sunday.
The company said that the staff was evacuated and no one had been injured. It said that the fire had started at a transformer for a turbine.
The causes of the fire are being investigated. KazMunayGas reported that the situation is currently under control.
Tengizchevroil did not respond immediately to a comment request. This is the largest oilfield in Kazakhstan.
