The Royal Navy of the UK tracks Russian ships sailing through English Channel

The Royal Navy of Britain shadowed Russian ships sailing through the English Channel during a 'two-day operation' coordinated with NATO allies, the navy announced on Friday. This comes as NATO intensifies its monitoring of Russian shipping.

The navy reported that two 'patrol ships', accompanied by a 'Wildcat helicopter were sent to intercept the Russian warship Boikiy? and the accompanying oil tanker MT. General Skobelev?as they headed to the north before transferring the monitoring to a NATO ally.

This operation follows a British operation.
