Initial assessments by traders indicated that the lowest price offered to?buy and?import 210,000 metric tonnes of animal feed barley from Turkey's state grainboard TMO on Thursday was just over $259 per tonne cost and freight included. Initial assessments showed that the lowest bids were $259.25, $259, and $259.50 per ton cost and freight included.

TMO negotiates in several rounds, aiming to get lower bids each time. The reports reflect the assessments of?traders, and further estimates on prices and volume are still possible later.

Barley will be shipped between January 26 and 24th in consignments ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 tons. The traders stated that supplies already imported into?Turkey, and stored in warehouses under customs bonding, can be offered. However, domestic supplies cannot.
