Traders say Turkey has received offers for the 255,000 tons of barley tender.
Initial 'assessments' by traders indicated that the lowest price offered in the first round - for the tender to import 255,000 metric tonnes of animal feed barley from Turkey - was $266.20 per ton c&f. The traders said that no purchase had yet been made and that 'provisional results' would be expected later on Wednesday. TMO negotiates in several rounds, aiming to get lower bids each time.
Trading house Aston was reported to have made the lowest offer for a consignment of 25,000 tons to be shipped to a port in Bandirma.
The reports reflect the assessments of traders. Further estimates on prices and volumes are still possible.
