Trump claims that six people were killed in a US attack on an alleged drug ship off Venezuela

The latest in a series of recent strikes, a U.S. airstrike on a boat near the Venezuelan coast on Tuesday resulted in the death of six suspected drug traffickers.

The strike is just the latest example of Trump’s efforts to use U.S. Military power in new and often controversial ways. From deploying U.S. active duty troops in Los Angeles, to conducting counter-terrorism attacks against drug trafficking suspected, this strikes represents Trump's attempts to use U.S.

Trump stated in a Truth Social post that the strike was carried out against an organization designated as a terrorist group, but did not specify which one.

Trump claimed that intelligence confirmed that the vessel was involved in illicit narcoterrorist network and was trafficking drugs. He did not provide any evidence.
