Tunisia has bought in the tender an estimated 100,000 tons of soft wheat, and around 100,000 tons of durum.
European traders reported that Tunisia’s state grain agency is believed to have purchased approximately 100,000 metric tons soft?milling?wheat and approximately 100,000?tons?of durum at an international tender on Wednesday for the same volume.
Soft wheat and durum, both purchased in four consignments of 25,000 tons each, were all sourced from alternative origins. They were all bought on cost and shipping included (c&f).
The purchase of soft wheat included one shipment purchased from the Bulgarian trading house Buildcom for $258.77 a tonne, another?from Casillo?for $259.68 per tonne and a third?from Finagrit?for $256.16 per tonne.
Durum was purchased in four consignments: two from Casillo, at $325.49 each and $327.69 per ton; one from Bunge, at $327.96 a ton; and one from Amber for $323.89.
The wheat was wanted for shipment between March 1 to April 15 depending on the origin provided. Durum was sought between February 20 and March 5, depending on the origin provided.
