European traders reported that a Tunisian state grain agency purchased?about 25.000?metric tons?of animal feeding corn from optional origins at an international auction on Tuesday.

All corn?was said to be bought at a cost of $258.75 per ton, including?freight. Trading?house VA Intertrading was believed to be the vendor.

The traders claimed that a lower price of $256.99 per ton c&f was rejected because it did not meet tender specifications.

Shipment was requested in a?single?consignment from March 1 to March 30, depending on the origin?supplied. The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and further estimates on?prices? and?volumes?can be made later. Michael Hogan, reporting from Hamburg and editing by
