Turkey buys 350,000 tonnes of corn at tender in a provisional bid, traders report

The Turkish grain 'board TMO?purchased?about 350,000 metric tonnes?of animal feed corn in a?international tender held on Thursday.

Final confirmation of the purchase will be made in the next few days. Purchases made at the beginning can be?reduced or?cancelled?completely.

According to traders, the lowest price for 25,000 tons of corn sold by Team Agro was $243.40 per ton (cost and freight included) to be shipped to Izmir. The corn was to be shipped between March 9 and April 6 as 25,000-ton shipments into a number of Turkish ports. Traders said that corn already?imported into?Turkey, and stored in customs bonded warehouses, could be offered but not domestic supplies.
