Turkey has invited bids from traders to import 175,000 tonnes of feed barley.
European traders reported on Monday that the state grain board TMO of Turkey has issued a 'international tender' to?purchase and import about 175,000 tons of animal feed.
The deadline for submitting price offers in the tender is March 13
TMO has also released a separate international tender to purchase and import approximately 280,000 tons of animal feed corn. The tender closes on March 16, continuing the?strong demand for imports after a poor summer harvest in Turkey.
Barley will be shipped between March 25th and April 17th in consignments ranging from 10,000 to 25,000 tons.
However, domestic barley cannot be sold.
The Turkish ports of Iskenderun (Iskenderun), Adana (Adana), Mersin (Mersin),?Izmir (Bandirma),?Tekirdag(Samsun), and Trabzon should receive shipments.
