Two people are killed in a collision between a bus and a train in Russia's Leningrad Region
The regional railway administration reported on Monday that at least two people died and 10 were injured in a collision between a bus and a freight rail in the Russian region of Leningrad.
The railway administration in Leningrad, northwest Russia, posted a message on Telegram saying that the driver of... the bus had entered the crossing before an approaching freight train.
The train driver used emergency braking but the distance between them was too small to avoid a collision.
The Russian state-run news agency RIA cited local authorities as stating that it was a tour bus. (Reporting and editing by Kim Coghill in Melbourne, Christian Schmollinger, and Lidia Kelly)
