Union estimates that the first barley crop export price in Ukraine for 2026 will be between $203 and $205/t.

Ukrainian farmers' union UAC announced on Tuesday that the first forward prices for Ukrainian barley from the 2026 harvest will be?in a?range of?$203-$205 per metric ton at CPT Black Sea, and about $208 for grain with high quality.

Ukraine is one of the major barley producers and exporters in Europe. The first grain that farmers harvest and export is barley.

UAC stated that barley is currently traded at about $227 per ton (Carriage Paid To).

APK-Inform, a consultancy for agriculture, said that Ukraine would likely reduce its barley production in 2026 from 5,38 million?tons in 2025 to 5.13 millions?tons in 2026 and could export 2.5million tons of the commodity in 2026/27.

The consultancy estimates 2025/26 barley shipments at 2 million tons, while the Ministry of Economy said that barley exports have 'totalled 1,36 million tons' in the 2025/26 period up to March 6, 2019. The Economy Ministry said barley exports had?totalled 1.36 million tons?so far in?the 2025/26 season to March 6.
