The operator of the port said that the poor French harvest was the reason for the 40% drop in 2024/25 cereal shipments. Haropa Port, the port operator, said that 5.2 million tons of cereals were loaded in Rouen during 2024/25 compared to 8.7 millions tons in 2023/24.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency (UKMTO), said Tuesday, that a ship's crew reported an explosion 63 nautical mile southwest of Yemen's Hodeidah. In a note of advice, the agency stated that the vessel and crew were safe and that the ship was proceeding to the next port.

Oil prices dropped 1% on Monday, after reaching a five-month peak. Markets were trying to gauge the effect of U.S. airstrikes on Iran over the weekend on the transit of oil and natural gas through the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude futures fell 70 cents or 0.9% to $76.31 per barrel at 10:46 am ET.
