Neptune Awarded Kitan Contract

Neptune’s diving division comprises bases in Perth, Darwin and Dampier servicing both on and offshore clients across Neptune’s global operat Photo Neptune

Neptune has been awarded an air diving services contract by Technip Oceania Pty Ltd (“Technip”) for the Kitan disconnection project. The project is offshore in February and includes the provision of air diving services to assist with the disconnection and abandonment of risers, mooring chains and the umbilical from the Glas Dowr FPSO in the Joint Development Petroleum Area (JDPA). Neptune will perform the services from the Crest Hydra DP2 Dive Support Vessel (DSV). Neptune Chief Executive Officer, Robin King, said “this is the second diving contract awarded to Neptune by Technip in recent months and we are pleased to continue to support Technip in the execution of their projects.”  


Bisso Marine Acquires New SAT System

Bisso Marine, provider of energy and maritime support services, has acquired a 12-man portable Saturation Diving System. The new SAT System has a working depth of 1,000 feet (300 meters). It features a dual-lock, six-man deck decompression chamber, a 12-man launchable flyaway hyperbaric rescue chamber, a dual-lock, six-man come-out chamber and a three-man diving bell. “This SAT System expands our working depth and fully maximizes our bottom time


Tidewater Eyeing Superior Offshore Assets

The CEO of Tidewater Inc said his company is evaluating assets from Superior Offshore International which last week warned of limited liquidity, Reuters reported said the process was in the very early stages for Tidewater, which is the world's largest provider of offshore supply boats to the energy industry. Hallin Awarded $8M West Africa Project

Integrated subsea contractor Hallin Marine is mobilizing its vessel, Ullswater, after winning a saturation diving contract offshore Angola. The DP2 Ullswater, equipped with saturation and air diving systems, a Hallin C-ROV and all personnel, will repair a 16-inch pipeline and carry out inspections on various platforms. Operatec, an Angolan company, and Superior Energy Services have been performing diving services under a long term maintenance contract since mid 2009


Norwegian Software Improves Efficiency for Offshore Divers

Norwegian software company Tero Marine developed a new solution that they say will reduce workload and help improve safety for offshore divers. “It has enabled us to reduce the time we spend on reporting by 75 percent, increasing our ability to be more cost efficient,” said Allan Strachan of diving contractors Harkand ISS. Safety was one of the key drivers when Tero Marine and Harkand ISS joined forces to develop a new IT solution for dive services

Noordhoek Orders Vessel

Noordhoek Offshore B.V., based in Zierikzee - The Netherlands, ordered a newbuild diving offshore construction support (DOCS) vessel for itsNorth Western European operations. Hornbeck Offshore to Acquire Superior Achiever
